Buddy List.....

i don't like the new buddy list, i liked the old style where you could just go to the UserCP and just glance to see who is on.

What new buddy list? I haven't been able to find even that yet. But I agree. The buddy list of who is on including who is off is a great thing to see in the user cp.

Don't you you just love upgrades. They always screw everything up.

i used myIE2 (really similar to mozilla)
it opens it in a new tab, I can't see my buds from the usercp anymore, and i can't click on their names anymore.

My opinion. Because there is no information about my buddy. And why do upgrades always make for more work and inconvenience for the user/member? All the info I wanted was on one page and easy to use and see. Hopefully the Front Page will get fixed back to normal too.

I don't like upgrade venders who only come out with an upgrade to make money and offer nothing of use. So far the only thing I see that is useful is the color offset of a quote in a post. Everything else I see just created a mess. Nothing useful.

And I can live very well without the color offset of a quote. If it's there fine but it's an example of something that's not critically needed. The box was fine.

And - what happened to my favorite sunglassed smiley face?

Well.. unusually negative for your doing traveler!!..

Sorry but there are a LOT of options I like about this new version and reading around here it seems I'm not alone.

Everything still needs tweaking and we are working on it!

The frontpage is using a vBulletin 2.x portal style which wasn't compatible with version 3 so CJ had to tweak things to get it to work. We are looking into other options and we may not stick with the current system!

Every major upgrade takes some time to adjust. Some make an easier transition than others but I'm sure we'll get there!
