The location of the chipset is pretty away from the cpu so the zalman doesn't offer much here. In my opinion u'll be more than ok with it.

Ta mate got a deal with my vendor to try out the Abit boards or even an MSI. Great shop they do anything to keep the customer satisfied. First runner up is the ABit Fatality and then the 8N ultra. (if I don't keep the Fatality board although it's pretty expensive )

Why not DFI? I would prefer it over abit, due to the fact that this is the first abit's nf m/b and i believe that after so much time with VIA the need sometime to solve their probs.

I got a reply from a forummember on asking if my Corsair ram would suit the board and he told me Corsair ram is a no go on the DFI. I was pretty happy with my previous Abit ( NF2- I865 - Via 880pro ) boards. I am not a high Oc'er just wanna get 2600Mhz out of the 2400 ( so only a 217 mhz OC) without sacrificing any memory stuff and keep the noise to a minimum. If I don't like the baord I can always return it, I realy wanted the Asus Premium but apparently it's not yet available here.

Could someone give me a run down of how to setup the NVRAID? I am currently switching my setup from the deluxe board to the premium board. Currently on the deluxe board I have my 2 raptors in a RAID 0 array on the silicon controller as well as a 3rd storage drive. I plan on moving all 3 drives to the nvidia controller and setting up the raptors in a RAID 0 array on the NVRAID. I was just wondering if there was a quick way to ease the transition. Thanks.

U'll have to format your OS raid 0 array.

I've changed the title of the thread to include the Premium board since several members have it. Feel free to post anything about either the Deluxe or Premium boards here.

My new case to house my Premium board arrived today. A modded Lian-Li PC-7b Plus, I ordered from performancepcs.com

Can't wait to start putting parts in it.

Starting to setup the NVRAID function. But I am a little unsure what settings to set in the NVRAID configuration is BIOS. After enabling NVRAID, all the option underneath become selectable. What should I enable? Say I am gonna connect my 2 raptors to SATA 1 and 2. Do I enable "First SATA Master RAID" and "Second SATA Master RAID"? And what about my 3rd Seagate Drive? If I connect that to SATA 3, should I enable "Third SATA Master RAID"? Those with WD Raptors in RAID 0, what striping value are you using? Right now mine is 64kb, but I am thinking of setting it 128kb when I create the new raid set.

U have to enable only the sata ports used for raid under the nvraid menu. So sata 1 & 2 for u. The stipe value doesn't have that kind of impact on sata raid 0 setups. I'm using 32kb for mine.

Ok, what do I do for my 3rd drive, which won't be part of the RAID setup? Say if I connect it to SATA 3 on the Nvidia controller?
