The Qualified Vendors List is just the memory Asus has tested.

The A8N-SLI is meant for Nvidia cards, but tomshardware managed to get ATI and Nvidia cards to run simultaneously. Article

It will use any pci-express video card (ati or nvidia) but to use it has a SLI (2 video cards working as 1 ) only nvidia has the video cards to make this work, ATI will be coming out next year with there own type of SLI, Asus makes both ATI and Nvidia video cards, hopes this helps ( these motherboards won't be out for at least 2 more weeks )

SLI is not grabbing me for some reason. I think I'll wait for a top end pcie card and just go for a single card use in a NF4 board. I can't imagine the heat that packing 2 6800U's or even GT's up against each other so tightly is going to create not to mention drain on power.

Where is the non-SLi version?
MSI Gigabyte et al are bringing out their non_SLi version then the SLI version but ASUS are putiing the cart before the horse. Their non-SLi appears to be the only passive chipset cooled NF4 board which is what I want.

Why do you want passive cooling? The NF chipset gets very hot.

The stupid little cheap fans they put on the bottle top chipset heatsinks might as well be passive, and these days you really can't upgrade them much because they are right under the vid cards.
