but I believe that Nvidia is LAN 1 and Marvell is LAN 2...I would use Lan 1 (Nvidia) as the Marvel one has much higher CPU utilization
The heck, the A8N32 manual sucks, then! My Premium manual identifies which is which with ports name right in the manual.

Same thing on my MB the upper lan is Marvel the bottom one is Nvidia...

Oops, I guess I didn't realize that the A8N32's lan ports are located totally at a different place than that of Premium or the regular Deluxe.

I don't use the marvel port (lan2). I just disabled it. I've non had any problems with the inVidia port (lan1).

When I installed the RAID drivers by hitting F6 during Xp installation I noticed I had the option to install TWo drivers of some sort..I installed both. Is that normal. I was an Intel boy before and I only remember installing 1 driver during the XP install

Yep you have done it right, you need both the Nvidia nforce storage controller driver and the Nvidia raid class driver so good work.

Unhappy an832 problems

Hi guys, am looking for help, just started building a new system. Have got windows xp pro sp2 installed and am having a problem of random reboots. my hardware:

ASUS A8N32-SLI DELUXE
AMD x2 4800
2x1Gb CORSAIR XMS 3500LL PRO
1X BFG 7900 GTX
crative xfi fatality
wester digital 150GB raptor
Antec NeoHe 550w
plextor 716 dvd burner.

I now there is issues with the power supply and this mobo, but according to the serial # and rev (a3), mine is supposed to work fine. But I am ordering a PC Power and Cooling 510-sli just in case. I have installed the lastes bios 1103, latest nforce chipset and graphics drivers (6.85, 84.21) and the latest xfi drivers. I have the correct mem timing from corsair with the vdimm voltage set to 2.75. The cpu is not overclocked, vcore is set to 1.4v, and all the overclocking features are disabled, including peg. My temps are fine, around 40c for the processor and 39c for the mobo. But windows reboots randomly on me somtimes before is gets to windows, sometimes when doing 3dmark, sometimes just idle.

I am looking for any suggestions, please Help!

Thanks

It does sound like a power supply issue. Uncheck Automatically Restart under System Failure. Right-click my computer>properties>advanced>startup and recovery>settings. That way you can at least see what blue screen error you are receiving.
