Borrowed. If I get it to run 270X11, then it will be mine.

It's a custom-made Baker cooler. Not shown in the photo is a seperate cooler for the GPU. The LS I just got has a Baker evaporator block.

It looks too big for a Vapochill and a bit too small to be a dual cascade I've seen so far. Looks like a good size to me since you can put it in a "normal" bedroom not some garage with tons of tools and hardware. How good is its cooling ability? -100C? Anywhere I can find more info? just wondering if it is commercially available. Thanks.

I think the mobo should have no problems runing past 270 with vmods in place.

Now spill the beans on what memory can run 270 on A64, under 4volts

Temps are around -55 to -60. And those are real temps, as opposed to the LED display read-outs on the Mach which are often nowhere close to reality. At the xtremeresources forum, look for the person with the user name "baker18". He can probably build you one. He's also in the process of building a cascade cooler.

A few people with BH-5 have been able to run 270 @ 1:1 with 2-2-2 timings and less than 4 volts. Of course, not all BH-5 will do that. The Giga board I'm using has VCore and VDimm mods. By raising the 3.3v rail, I get more memory voltage. I just got another PC Power & Cooling PSU, and this one has the external pots that make it easy to adjust the rail voltages. The OCZ PowerStream will do that too, but I heard the adjustment knobs are way too sensitive.

There's other memory that can run over 270, but with less than ideal timings. The key is running 270 and 2-2-2 (or 3-2-2 with the EB). With 3.4v on the Giga board, I could run the EB at 260. Don't think they'll make it to 270, but 265 would be nice.

For some reason my MSI K8N NEO2 dosnt like cas3 ?

Crucial dosnt realy advertise any rated timing other than cas2.5 @ DDR500
{at least not back when I bought mine}
But if you call tech support they will tell you cas2.5-4-4-8 1t at DDR500 on 2.8v
Thanks, so it must be either a Mobo or CPU issue here, Asus as usual give little to no info on what the bios fixes, and even if I could get in contact with them (haha) I suspect they will say "we don't test our boards outside of spec".
Would you guys thinks its more likely to be mobo or cpu issue ?

I have just discovered my board shipped with bios 1005.27, asus update finds bios 1006 (1005.28) but I dont want to flash to that, I fear I might lose pci/agp locks as it wont detect I have a rev 2, I will manually search for the 1007 and see if that tells me anything.

And SB, thats one hell of a beast of a cooling system !
Good luck with that

Nope
On 1007 bios passes memtest fine @ 500ddr with T1, but BSOD within a minute of loading windows, guess its either a problem with the cpu mem controller or the mobo, like I say it makes no odds in gaming performance on T2, just the bandwith loses out on sandra by about 900 mb/s, I can live with it as it doesn't hurt gaming, but its a tad irritating.

*EDIT* 1007 bios fails prime95 after 20 odd minutes on the same settings the shipping bios was fine so I have re-flashed shipping bios.

I wonder if we'll see any price reductions once the 4000+ / FX55 ship.

Hey guys I thought I'd put a picture here of my Athlon system case window. A buddy and I put this in over the weekend. The blue lamp goes really well with the tsunami's front LEDs.
