| You know "F" via. Asus doesn't support locks. Abit doesn't support multiplier changes. What the hell good is it. I hope the NF3 at least works. Even if it is a little slower, I'll be happy with a working bios, otherwise I might have to start looking at an Apple, cause I ain't ready to succumb to Intel again. lol

Well I don't think my board will go beyond 251 MHz. I tried lowering the multiplier to 10 and upping the FSB to 255 - 260 and it won't load into Windows. I tried 3,4,4,8 on memory timings and it didnt' help. I know my FX53 CPU is stable up to ~2,680 and the memory should be good for more than 250 MHz (brand new OCZ PC4000 Dual Channel Gold). Maybe I need to wait a few weeks and swap this A8V out for an NForce3 250 board.

Your RAM probably needs more voltage. But you're not going to get much more with any of the 939 boards unless you're willing to do a VDimm mod. Your other option is to go to more extreme cooling. It seems like you have a good chip.

Yup, I agree. Quality is not what it used to be. Monarch has the 6800GT in stock atm. Looks like a nice card for the price.

Their service simply blows. I ordered my motherboard over the phone. The shipping address was different from my billing one(work/home). I asked sales rep at least three times if that is going to cause any problems. He said no it wil not. Well, next thing I see I get an e-mail stating that they will not ship the board if shipping address is different from billing one. Also, I never got a confirmation e-mail saying that my item was shipped. My credit card was surely charged. My first and last experience buying from Monarch. ![]()

I've never had any big problems with Monarch. One time I had a slight delay in an order because of a mix-up in RAM. But the mistake was caught at the warehouse. Their prices are usually higher than other resellers, but they often are the first to get a lot of new A64 stuff.

I'm surprised your sales rep did not give you this warning.

Using 3-2-2-7 timings now. Switched AGP/PCI to 75/37. Not quite as stable as 66/33, but still... ![]()

Jumping into the fray tonight, just got plain sick of my ic7-g after the northbridge feel off for the 3rd time because the pins fell out. here is what is coming in today..... Asus A8V AMD 64 3500+ Swiftec 6002 waterblock coming in tuesday.... BFG 6800 Ultra OC Guess we'll see how the Geil runs on the board, I am using Geil pc4200 that runs 260+ no problem at 2.8v (only at 2.5 cas though) should have things up and running by midnight (gotta wait till the family goes to sleep to rebuild) by the way anyone know anybody that wants to buy a 3.0c that runs 242+ on air and 260+ on water. maxx

However, I called them yesterday afternoon and b*tched about my situation. Well, guess what? I'm holding the motherboard in my hands as we speak!
