does anyone know what bios will be compatible with the new X2's? is that the "new cpu's" that 1013 supports?

It must be the bios or the mobo fabrication, I got much higher Ram speeds on my Abit AV8, man I am really dissapointed I sold that board

No Ocing yet have to go to a Lan Party now if the baord survives it I am already happy lol

Hi everyone. I have recently put together a computer and have an issue. I am currently running a Athlon64 3000 with winchester core. A8V deluxe Mobo. I have 2 WD 80 gig SE Hdd IDE running in Raid. My problem arrises when I try to place another IDE HDD outside of the Raid to store information on. Everytime I put the 3rd HDD in I lose the Raid Drives. They don't even show up in my Bios anymore. Pull the 3rd HDD out and everything is fine again. Any thoughts?

where are you connecting the ide? you cant put it in the red plug on the bottom. you have to put it in one of the black or blue ones at the top.

the plat rev 2 have been working good for me on my a8v. running 2.5-3-3-5 @ 2300 2.8V.
have one of the crappy winnie's that I can't get over 2350. when I was playing around I had cpu at lower multiplier and the htt at 2500/2600, memory 1:1 with same timings - seemed the board and the mem were ok, just couldn't get the cpu any higher.

Thats not what I wanted to hear...I have a 3200 winnie thats been stuck at 2350 and I was thinking it was the memory just from some of the errors I was getting at higher overclocks...I havent done a whole lot a playing with it, I was hoping we'd get the mem dividers fixed with one of these new bios's. Is this a problem with lots of winnies or just a few i wonder....?

I've read there were quite a few of 64's in early 05 that were not great oc'ers - mine's early 05. think amd were a little more stict in the speed binning.
but I think my a8v is one of the ones with a bad bios chip - it's quirky at times. and I couldn't adjust the vcore at all to try and get it past 2350, I'd set it for 1.5 and higher and it wouldn't change at all from default (at least reported in windows with asus & mbm)

but I've got a ultra-d board on the way that I'll be swapping out this weekend that I'll be putting my winnie & plat 2's in so we'll see how that does - mind you I'm no master amd oc'er

My Raid is currently set up in the red one. I am trying to put the other HDD in the black one.

update - don't want to mislead you, just swapped to an ultra-d with the same winnie. testing out but so far up to 245 1:1 2.5-3-3-8, vcore 1.5, vdimm 2.7 without any errors (quick tests anyway).
so it's not the winnie - i think it was that I couldn't adjust the vcore on the a8v

edit:
this might help 2, found it on xs forums

memory dividers dont work

ok, im on bios 1009, and i wanted to tweak my memory yesterday, i am testing low latency vs. high frequency. anyway, i set my divider to 4:3 ddr266. i rebooted, there was no post. i tried a few other settings, and the only one that would post was auto. i cleared cmos, and tried again, with no overclock. still, the dividers didnt work. why did this suddenly happen? please help.
