Nice unbuffered score, Blue. Most people run the buffered test because they like to see big numbers. But the unbuffered test is more indicative of real world performance.

Sandra is also famous for suicide screenshots because a system doesn't have to be 100% stable to run the bandwidth test.

BTW, a 90nm FX is apparently coming soon. Though I'll believe it when I see it.

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Psu OCZ 600, so no probs there!

Cheers!

Would help if you listed your specs. That error message can mean a number of things.

Ther are currently zero 55's of any sort in the channel. So whatever is coming I suspect will be hard to come by.

Heh - yeah - got mine $950 + shipping for mine used on ebay. It sold in less than 3 hours using Buy-it-Now last Saturday.

I'm thinking about just getting a 3500 Winchester. Does anyone here have an opinion on how much slower it will seem in real life?

Also, thoughts: DFI Ultra-D or Neo4 Ultra - which board to buy? I like the Neo4 because of more slots, but the DFI looks good because of the overclock options?????

If you don't need a lot of VCore, then the Neo4 might be a good option. Seems to overclock pretty well. There is a vmod if you like to solder.

D&H distributers for AMD have deleted the FX55 13 and only have orders now for the FX55 90nm version. No ETA, but I suspect that the .13 is history, and the new shipments later this month will all be quietly switched to the 90nm versions.

Unless the 90nm FX-55 has the new instruction set and is proven to be a lot faster, then I'm inclined to hold off until FX-57 comes out in either Q2 or Q3.
