Thanks guys, yup the good old Mushkin's never fail me.

I'm having a problem though... even though I can reach that awesome overclock at low vcore... I'm stuck.

In order to go higher, I've had to switch to a divider because all I have is BH-5 right now... either my DFI (RA02) doesn't like high HT or doesn't like dividers...

I tried running 8x300 with the ram at 200 (133 divider) and no go.... Seems like anything over 275 I crap out... I tried all different dividers, 133, 166, 183.... different multies 8x300, 9x280.... all resulting in reboots or lockups....

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Try setting max async latency to either 7ns or 8ns.

Now.

Just gotta get me $450...and a frigging icebox. Last time I had me some Ballistix, they ran like champs, but hot as a Prescott, as I remember. Had to exchange 'em for a refund as they were overheating everything above 'em in my case!

Holy Cow!!
even though he said 300 3-3-3-10-1t was not fully stable, Holy Cow 2x1G sticks even posting at 300 But $450 samolyans Ouch!

I still have my 2x512 of Ballistix 4000, just cant get rid of ram that will do 265 2.5-3-3-7 in any platforum you shove it into. I get a kick out of shoveing it into ever mobo that comes through here to see if I can find a setup it cant run in.

Ooops off topic.....sorry

My R.A02 board wont do dividers with the 310 or the 515 BIOS's. Could be just a BIOS thing your haveing ??

Do you think it's the ram though? Not the mobo? I've always been suspicious of this mobo ever since that FX-55 I picked up....

I loosened the memory timings and used multi of 7 and worked HT up in 2-3mhz increments... second I hit 275 reboot... increased vcore... made no difference... am I at the max of the memory controller of this chip?? It's hard to believe after hitting 10x270 @1.36v..... Since I got this mobo something has always been messed up

I have a hard time running a divider on BH-5 with max async latency at 6ns. But I don't have any problems when it's set to 8ns. I have a screen with higher clocks and a better SuperPi time than the one below. Can't find it at the moment because I'm still at work.

Tried that and it made no difference.... Are you still using 217 bios for BH-5?

Yes, I'm using 217. I've tried many others, but I always come back to that BIOS which also works well with TCCD.

On the R.A02 board BIOS 510-1...runing 4400C25's dont need dividers. I think it was 414-1 and 414-3 i was useing that dividers worked.

I keep saying I'm gona RMA this R.A02 it has tons of little annoying issues compaired to the R.AA0 board I also have.

I just wonder what kind of voltage you all give to your CPU when it's in the 2.6Ghz or up. Mine can't seem to run stable if I give it less than 1.5V. I've seen many users who reach the 2.8Ghz-3Ghz and still be using 1.4V (or the default). Why am I not able to do that on my Sandy?

Sierra, what's your speed now and what vcore do you have?

I can run 3100MHz with VCore at 1.5v. I need at least 1.6v to run 3200MHz.

Unless you're after killer CPU clocks like I am you can easily run at 1.5v or less. My 24/7 Ultra-D rig has VCore at 1.44v. Running at 2700MHz.

When I was able to reach 2.860Ghz, my vcore had to be 1.56-1.667, otherwise my PC couldn't even boot Windows. Is vcore different from CPU to CPU, even when they are the same model? I would assume that if I ever get my CPU to run 3.1Ghz, my vcore would have to be 1.7+, that's gonna suck. Why does my CPU need more voltage to work than other users'?

Every cpu is different, different weeks perform differently, it's a lot of luck...
so far I've been lucky with my 3200+ doing 2700mhz @ 1.36v on air ... but I'm having other problems that may or may not chip related.....
