Do you have any old RAM you can use to flash? If you're flashing at default speed, it doesn't matter what memory you use, as long as it boots the board. I usually load optimized defaults before flashing and use the following switches:

/py /sn /cd /cp /cc /LD /R /f

This is enough to give me nightmares. Someone killed his FX-57 when he removed the IHS. He ended up scraping the wafer. At least we get to see what it looks like inside.

The thread can be found here.

And for your Sunday night viewing enjoyment, an AMD commercial that ran during the Tour de France. AMD is apparently one of the sponsors of Lance Armstrong. File is only 1MB.

this guy must be a complete idiot. I have removed at least 10 spreaders and none look anything like that. It is very easy, but a little time consuming. You end up with a nice clean layer of sliced silicon on the top and around the die. if you know what you are doing the only risk is bending pins. it looks like he used a hack saw. This guy ****** me off.

I think I'll leave 704-3 on there. It seems to be working fine on the fx55 even though 55 is now on air.

Yeah I couldnt post after flashing 0704-3. I had to clear CMOS several times to get into BIOS even. I switched RAM from TCC5 to BH and it booted fine. The long beeps = RAM problems.

3 head Freezer Unit

Posted this in the Cooling section also. But some of my DFI buddy's may find these new 2 and 3 head Phase Change Units very interesting

I use the 0704-2 bigtoe mod BIOS. It’s a good BIOS but its annoying I can't use >113%.
