The problem with many portable A/C units is that they need to be vented. This isn't a problem if you have windows that you can raise. But the windows in my room slide open sideways. It's harder to fit a vent. Portable A/C's also consume a lot of power, usually more than 600W for a 10,000 BTU unit. I might as well just turn on the central air in my house. The swamp cooler consumes only 60W.

I flashed back to 0618-1 tonight to do some TCC5 benching but I have been having alot of trouble with it for some reason. In theory I sould be able to load my DDR626 settings that were 24/7 stable (I have em saved) and boot up, but I can't even boot at DDR600 anymore. I swapped sticks around, tweaked and tweaked no luck. It took me over an hour to get into windows at all. >

I am using the same BIOS that I used before and same hardware, can't seem to figure out what the problems is. I am at 260Mhz right now as I type this, and prime just died at 2 minutes and a half. I know its not the CPU, I'm at 260x10 and it does 3Ghz easy. Stock on these is 2.5-3-3-8 263Mhz 2.8v, now I cant even run stock arrgh. Going to run memtest a while, maybe one stick died on me.

BTW is it normal for CPU-z to say stock is 2.5-4-4-11 and it say 2.5-3-3-8 on the RAM itself?

Yea I've seen Cpuz report SPD like that on several sticks.

I'm not sure what to say about your other trouble Eldonko ? I've not had any trouble useing saved settings after flashing back to the BIOS version the settings were saved with. I allways have thought this was a neat feature.

Hope it's not one of your sticks.

After you flashed, did you kill all power to the board and leave the CMOS jumper in the reset position for at least ten minutes? This helps. The problem you're having happens a lot. A number of people have flashed back to a BIOS they used before and found their old overclock wasn't stable anymore. To avoid any problems, I use the same swtiches everytime I flash with a floppy:

awdflash (bios name).bin /py /sn /cd /cp /cc /LD /R /f

The "cd" switch is important because it clears the DMI data pool. The DMI is the database for the system.

Yep, I am always careful flashing. I clear DMI, unplug power, and reset cmos for 30 minutes or so. I have cleared cmos several times since the flash as well. I also never remove or change RAM with any power going to the board.

What I dont get is memtest is clean but prime errors out in like 1 minute. I tried several multis, all secondaries on auto, not helping. Will try a different BIOS.

I formatted last weekend. I put the 3200 Gold back in and I'm 100% stable, priming blend right now even with the same BIOS 0618-1. That means the BIOS is fine and everything else is ok AFAIK.

I couldnt even boot into windows at stock and optimized defaults with the TCC5. I am posting at BE, see what the reps say.

Is the VDimm jumper in the default position or the 4v position? Also, have you tried using the other set of dimms?

Yep, its in default position. What do you mean, the yellow slots? I can try that tomorrow, I have the BH back in again, this stuff works fine with any BIOS. I am too annoyed to try anything else tonight, sucks spending a whole night that was planned for benching on troubleshooting.

Just did 10 passes of test 8, no errors. I have tried 3 BIOS, 2.6-3.0v, multis 8x to 11x, and every tweak I can think of. I don't get it.

This is getting to be a mystery...
I've had that happen with two sets of TCCD, but test 8 would all ways fail with both sticks installed, and it would pass with each stick individually, drove me nuts.
