| Good luck with your RAID set-up. Will try to do some serious overclocking later today. But I've been battling a cold. I spent most of last night playing with BIOS settings and trying different RAM. This is my first DFI board, so I'm taking things slowly. Idle temp with the stock cooler was around 43C. But after I put one of my Delta fans on the board, the temp dropped about 10 degrees. The RAM that showed the most potential last night was an old pair of Kingston KHX3200 (BH-5). I've been using the newest beta BIOS (201). May give 126 and 125 a try. |

| Windows is just about installed now. The RAID is definitely very fast! You already know what problems I had with 201 bios, I could still POST at 250 to 300HTT but would get memory errors almost instantly in memtest, regardless of CPU speed and memory timings. Flashing back to 125 fixed it.

| Hey there, Blue. Yeah, hard to beat BH-5. I was getting beep errors with the OCZ VX. But the old Kingstons were problem-free. I will likely switch the VDimm jumper today to the 4v position. I have lots of big fans to help keep things cool. |

| I dont know Sierra..I have never gotten this pair of 2x512 sticks of BH-5 past 230 @2-2-2-5-1t in anyboard before...reguardless of volts {tried up to 3.6 once} Yet on the SLI-DR I'm now starting pass #3 of memtest86-v3.2 @250htt cas2-2-2-5-1t on 3.1vdimm with 0 errs I had throwen these sticks in a draw and passed tyhem off as junkers!

| That's great, Blue. My Kingstons would blue-screen in the Neo2 every now and then. But they seem rock stable in the SLI-DR. They just need more voltage. Which BIOS are you using? |

| My board came with 125 which appears to be the standard shipping BIOS. But that's the one that wouldn't give me a post. I'm going to keep testing with 201 and maybe try 126 later. The G.Skill TCCD seem to clock okay, but nowhere near as high as what some of those folks at XS are getting. Running 450X4 doesn't interest me anyway. |

Well from what I've read so far at XS is most of us non GOD like people I find it rather odd that over the last 3 years they are 3 to 4 key persons, that allways get these to the moon clocks,,,,and the regular folk even when duplacating the same exact setup get no were near the same clocks :wave2:

| Well. the Kingstons wouldn't go past 255 with 3.6v, so that's not good. I'm trying the OCZ VX in single channel right now. I may flash to another BIOS in a minute. |
