The OCZ guys seem to think my MB may be dying not the RAM. They said it is common for DFI boards to require more and more voltage over time to maintain stability when running high volts. I really hope the problem is the RAM not the MB because it's tough to find a DFI that works as well as this one.

The problem is I don't know anyone in my area that has a DFI board to test this RAM on. I could throw it in my 2nd rig but the piece of junk A8V doesnt like high FSB so that will not tell me anything.

well i have to say this motherboard is pretty rubbish. it is very picky whether or not to boot or if it is gonna work with the ram today or tomorrow. i have had this board for months running mushkin redline ram and all of a sudden it went down. i then changed some jumpers on the board and it worked for a couple weeks now its went all wrong again. it wont boot with 2 sticks either in single or dual channel. i have to run single channel to get back to windows. the board sux and i wont ever buy dfi again. i have tried loads of bioses and im currently using 704-2 the fixed version. i have to put another 256mb stick in slot one to boot to the bios change settings then power off and put the mushkin back in. its a shocking attempt at a good motherboard (in my opinion of course) anyone reading this thread i would stay clear of this board because it has more issues than the national geographic. im going back to asus because they know what to do when it comes to hardware.

Man Eldonko that is exactly what _ _ Z told me, it was myu mobo. SO I went to Fry's and picked up 3 of the darn things and the same problems occored. Then _ _ Z told me it had to be my memcontroller, so I swapped out 3 different chips, and even tried the sticks in an old P4C800 Intel rig and got the same problem. Then _ _ Z's rep said he still thought it was my mobos but he'd RMA the ram

Their support is a friggen joke "IMO" Yes they will RMA your ram, but they want you to sit and bark like a dog then jump through hoops first.

I'm not saying it is your TCC5, but it very well might be seeing as how other ram is working fine with that very same mobo.

I like OCZ support, it has always been great for me. They suggested a few things to try, different BIOSs and settings. When their suggestions did not work the offered to test it for me. I am not buying another MB or CPU to test some RAM, OCZ can do that heh.

If they get it to run 2.5-3-3 @ 2.6v like they say it should run, I really want to see a screenshot of that. Even when it was working properly it needed 2.8v for any degree of stability.

I guess different people have different needs or likes form support.

I didnt need any support from Curcial to determan the best BIOS or timings to get the most from My Ballistix 2g. Nor did I need any advise from Corsair on getting my 4400C25 up and runing or Mushkin to max my L2V2's out. All I needed from them when "I" was sure I had a problem was that they were sending me some replacement sticks ASAP
If theyd told me to try this try that and call me in the morinig I'd told them to kiss my

If I am not mistaken anything above 6/23 BIOS accepts X2.

I like to think I know what I am doing (although I probably dont heh) considering the hours I have spent learning this MB and RAM but still I like to explain my problem and ask for suggestions before I just ask for an RMA. If it is in fact my MB and not the RAM I do not want to RMA it for nothing because this was some decent TCC5, I mean DDR 626 is definitely nothing to complain about. However, how can it be the mb if my BH still is stable at 2.8v DDR400 2-2-2 and 3.6v DDR524 2-2-2, doesn't make sense.

I know it didnt make any sense to me either. Stuff worked fine for weeks, and while playing a game POOF! it didnt work fine anymore.

I under stand your frustrations. But are you 100% sure it's not your RAM causing this problem ? I mean can you use a different brand of RAM with different IC's and get the exact same issues.

Lots of and lots of people including me have had very good luck with the DFI board. Most complaints I've seen with this board has ended up being RAM issues. Or choosing the wrong BIOS timings. But no doubt the DFI isn't for every one.

Just ask all the people who own or have owned the Asus A8V or any of the infamous Asus SiS boards whether they think Asus stands for quality. Seriously, you're not the first person to have problems using the Redlines. You are having the infamous cold boot issue which a number of people have had using UTT memory. If you switched to different RAM (i.e. non-UTT memory), your problem would probably go away. I understand your frustration, but trust me, just about every motherboard manufacturer has had issues. Those who say the opposite are either lying or have been extremely lucky.

Good luck. Sorry to hear about your misfortune.
