It's all about tweaking. I have another secret tweak that I discovered quite by accident one day. It's probably worth 3-4 secs in 32M. May share it with the world one of these days. | |

| Someone at XS compiled a list of SuperPi tweaks. Some of them work better than others. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ad.php?t=49345 3D benchers have many more tweaks. |

| The Ricky Tweak involves switching from ACPI Uniprocessor to multiprocessor mode. Gives a big boost in 3DMark. But it really heats up the CPU. So unless you have really good cooling, I'd advise against using it. The tweak was first discovered by a Portuguese bencher. |

| Don't know. Probably not. If you fool around with your computer long enough, like I do |

| I downloaded the latest beta version of Server 2003. May give it a spin sometime soon to see if it helps. |

| i seem to have run into a ceiling with 704-2BTA... I can't get any stable clocks above 255, even on my awesome 2x256 Level II's.... I switched to 623-3 and it seems stable and slightly faster... read somewhere that 704-2BTA had too much vdimm fluctuation??

| I got my Mushkins (2X512) up to 277 (SuperPi 1M stable) with 704-2BTA. May just be your sticks. How much voltage are you giving them? I needed 3.8v. I've run them as high as 4v. |

| AMD Socket M2: A few sources are telling us that they have the new AMD socket "M2" CPUs up and running in test labs all over the world that hit in the 2.4 to 2.6GHz range. The new socket M2 is a 940-pin CPU that carries with it a new integrated DDR2-667 memory controller. First thoughts are that these CPUs seem to be very solid with their new DDR2 legs. Hopefully we will be able to report back to you on the overclockability of the new memory controllers and CPUs soon. As it stands now, look for AMD's new socket M2 to make its debut in late January or February.

| The 2.4-2.6GHz range doesn't sound very impressive. Someone else can be the guinea pig for M2. I'll wait for the smoke to clear. |
