I found the setting

on the old board there were jumpers that needed to be moved, but on this one its a bios setting.

I am experiencing some instabilities in games with this setup. I am thinking I may need to reload windows after all. I ran memtest last night for 11 loops and it was error free.

Basically games are crashing, and I am thinking its a video issue, cause I am passing stability tests that are non graphic Dependant (like Super PI and memtest)
Ive tried re-installing the drivers but still experiencing issues..

If you have any thoughts on this, Id love to hear them.

PS - just wanted to post that I was able to watercool the chipset on the expert board with my koolance waterblock and still have enough room for my SLi setup. it was tight so i wrapped a piece of electrical tape around the metal nozzle fittings to avoid any shorting of the video card.

Glad things are up & running Ken!
IMO the OS wouldn't cause problems with games.
Check your nVidia control panel settings for the games you are playing, things like antialias and antioscopic (i think?) etc. Some games recommend certain settings.
Your monitor can also be a factor depending on its capabilities.
There is also a setting in BIOS for the card's memory size. In SLI I think yours should be set to 512mb.
Hope this helps!

the thing thats making me thing its the OS is that it was running fine on the old board. I have all the graphic settings auto. windows is also taking an extremely long time to boot up. sits on the windows screen for over 3 minutes. i was patient and waited to see if it finally loaded and it did .

So i re-loaded XP last night. I installed 3dmark 05 this morning, and again it crashed out. I am wondering if its the BIOS and how its controlling the SLi setup. I have not tried running in single card setup just yet, because dont want to concede that the SLi wont run. Is the 704-2 BT bios the best for the expert board?

Any thoughts as to what may be causing this? im wondering if i should test the ram for a longer period of time as well.

anyway, Thanks
Ken

Hey Ken, sorry not to keep up with your posts...never got email notification.
Maybe you should try reloading OS. Anything else different with hardware setup on this board? Maybe IRQ conflict? If you are using any PCI slots try swaping to a different slot.
