| but as you said, with the 3200VX its hit and miss with DDR500 2225. what i mean is if DDR500 2225 wont work at any VDimm, can i loosen the timings, like with normal ram, to get that speed?

| Yes, you could loosen the timings. But I don't think you'll have problems hitting DDR500 @ 2-2-2-5, as long as you give the RAM enough voltage. DDR520 may be a little harder. Also, VX needs time to break in, especially at high voltage. On another subject, I flashed to one of the new betas (331-2) but didn't see any improvement, so I flashed back to 217. The latest betas have a new BIOS option that allows you to add 0.03v to VDimm. It actually added about 0.05v when I looked at SmartGuardian. I also have my Hitachi SATA-II up and running. Seems okay. But IDE drives still get better top speed for me. I also got my new Raptors (had to RMA the old ones). So I'm inundated with HDD's right now. |

| how do you break in ram? about the hds, i would sell them unopened, otherwise you wont get your money or value from them. I like my Sata's better, i noticed that they are 4-5mb faster in the default sandra test than my old Maxtor 160/8 ata133 (single drive to single drive)

| You can break them in by running Memtest86+ all day. Try 3.0v first, then the next day 3.1v, then 3.2v, etc. If you try running them at 3.4+ right away, you will likely get tons of Memtest errors. For general usage, SATA drives are the way to go. But many serious benchers use IDE drives because they generally get better top speeds. The speed of the drive itself does not affect 3DMark scores, for instance. All my best 3DMark scores and SuperPi/Pifast times have been done with IDE drives. |

| Not really because TCCD doesn't need a lot of voltage. VX, on the other hand, does. Some people run VX with 3.1-3.2v, which is fine for day-to-day use. But for best performance, you have to use more voltage than that. BH-5 is pretty much the same way. |

| No, OCZ's new BH-5 is called PC3200 Gold. It's certainly another option for you. The results I've seen seem to be pretty good. You should be able to hit DDR500 with 2-2-2-5 timings. http://www.ocztechnology.com/product...r_pc_3200_gold Various memory-makers are coming out with new BH-5 modules. The original BH-5 chips were made by Winbond, but that company has gotten out of the DRAM business. |

| i used to be able to hear my mouse in my speakers and stuff, but i just stoped noticing it, blue078 reminded me of it. i think it was due to using unsheilded audio cabling though
