| PCI USB2.0 card very slow on an A7V133 Hi, I have the following configuration in my PC: ASUS A7V133 motherboard w/ VIA KT133A chipset Athlon Thunderbird 1.2 Ghz WinXP Home I recently installed a PCI USB2.0 card to add high speed ports. The card was recognized by XP and the install was succesful using XP's built-in drivers. XP also recognizes each port on the card as a high speed USB port. The problem is I'm barely getting speeds above USB 1.1 from the new card. I've verified the following: -Motherboard BIOS is current version 1009 -VIA chipset driver is current version 4.43 The card is installed in PCI slot #5. A sound card and ethernet card are also installed in two other PCI slots and they both work fine. Any suggestions on what else I should check? Is there a BIOS settings to enable the high speed USB ports? |

| Re: PCI USB2.0 card very slow on an A7V133 I reinstalled XP and the problem persists. I noticed the PCI USB card along with several other hardware items are all listed under IRQ 09. Is this normal or could there be a possible conflict? If I check the properties for each item, it lists each as having no conflict. Anyone know which PCI slot on the A7V133 is unshared? I'm thinking of removing all my PCI cards and installing only the USB card in the unshared slot and see if that helps. Thanks. |

| Re: PCI USB2.0 card very slow on an A7V133 You can try setting PnP OS in BIOS to No, this may stop XP from forcing sharing of IRQs. But doubtful this would be the cause.
