Abit BX133-RAID bios update Posted by viper
Wednesday, May 30 @ 12:06:41 GMT+1 [ Abit ]
Ericov told us that Abit has released a new official bios update for their BX133-RAID mainboard which dates 05/02/01:

At This site: http://www.abit.nl/english/download/...bios-bx133.htm you can find the new official Abit BX133-RAID Bios.

Changelog:
1) Supports Intel Coppermine T CPU.
2) Support Flashmenu utility.
3) HPT 370 BIOS version 1.03b1.

Direct downloadable at the Abit Websit : ftp://ftp.abit.com.tw/pub/bios/bx133-raid/berzw.exe

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Questions:
1) Is T stand for Tualatin?
2) If this BX 133 that uses Intel®440BX chipset (82443BX and 82371EB) can true supports Tualatin (provided that T is for Tualatin) just by using the new bios, so Asus CUSL2 series can also supports Tualatin by flashing to new bios also??

Anyone can answer this??

i can't answer that MR, but i will second your q's
i'd love to find out the "real deal" on these new CPU's...everyday it seems i hear a different thing about wtf is going on with them...
atm i would guess no for our boards there are reports and lots of news about it requiring a entirely new Chipset, which is already in the werks, that and the lower voltage req's would make it difficult, altho if the BX can support it, i will be miffed heheheh
i just wish intel would release an official, straight forward report on the matter...

cryogen, I hope this CUSL2 board can support whatever that T CPU means Actually, the lower voltage req's can be done in bios updates. Also the FSB setting can be upgraded in new bios. Just like my A7V133 that has a new beta bios (I forgot which one - too much information here to absorb), that will enable fsb setting to 200 (old one is 166) and lower vcore setting & Throtle setting to support the upcoming AMD Palomino or they call it AMD Athlon 4. Still need more clarification from official Intel bout' this matters
