| Hi All, Just switched from a Soyo SY6BA+IV to a CUSL2-c. My 3DMark2000 scores have dropped about 500 points! Interestingly enough QIII Demo scores only dropped about 5 fps. I would have thought with the proper AGP support my video performance would have improved. Any thoughts or suggestions? Here are the specifics of my system: CUSL2-c with 1009 BIOS Celeron 800 MHz FC-PGA processor 512 MB PC100 RAM Hercules Prophet II MX 64MB video card(by itself on IRQ 11) Thanks! John |

| It may be b/c you're still using PC100 ram on a PC133 compatible board?

| I think it had something to do with the chipsets, the 815 chipset allows differences between the fsb(for processor) and the memory speed. As for the bx chipset, if the fsb was 66mhz, then thats what the memory speed was. Because the bx chipset was basically a fixed 1:1 speed ratio for processor fsb and memory speed, it was more efficient with memory. Where as the 815 chipset supports 133:133, 133:100, 100:100 and 66:100 for processor fsb and memory speed, and to implement this capability, possibly resulted in reduced memory efficiency. |
