If someone can get this file installed on Win2k Pro, please let me know. I can not get it to complete.

Tom,
Installed just fine on my Win2K machine. Took about 15 seconds and then prompted for a reboot. I'm not sure exactly what it did, but it seems to have completed successfully. If you want more specific info let me know.

No problem with my installation either. As usually, been doing it in normal W2K startup and as always at 60% the system seem to crash, that is no mouse pointer, but comes back in 1 minute and completed the installation.

Just curious, how is that the site for the link provided by Vader has newer drivers than those found on Intel's own webpage? I.E. INF driver v2.90.009 (Intel) vs. 3.10.1011 (chipsatz). Don't get me wrong, I appricate having the latest drivers, I just have to wonder what the source of theses other drivers is.

Don't understand your problem. Do you mean that the inf is a ZIP file? If so, down load winzip, unzip the file and run setup.exe.

I haven't tried this new inf, but I experimented with the 2.90 last night. It still asks me to put Deus Ex in the CD ROM reader, even though it is, in fact, IN there.
Uninstalled the 2.90's and voila! Dues Ex plays with no problem.
I wonder if this new release will work...or bork my system beyond repair.

But still, for Intel 815 chipset series mobo running Windows 98/98SE/2000, the Intel INF driver is mandatory. If you run WinME you do not need to install Intel INF driver, cause ME has one built inside the O/S. If you try to run it under WinME, ME will tell you that it is not needed and installation cannot continue.

I am an idiot. What I meant was that I was playing around with the Storage Driver, not the .inf.

No Problems here,

I just installed the Inf.3.10.1011 on Win2K Pro without any problem.

Downloaded the file and put it in second partition, then Went to Safe Mode Command Prompt, type the file name(\.........\iie_310_1011.exe), Reboot, wait a while...... and Reboot again. It was flawlessly for me.
