| I just built a new rig earlier in the week, and today I officially retired my D875PBZLK rig after nearly three years of continuous use. A damn good board I must say. Everything about that box was just perfect. I'll have it in my closet on standby for a couple of months, and if the new rig holds together I'll see if I can sell it. It's got alot of life left in it, it's a crime for it to rust away in my closet. I wish I had something else I could do with it. I tip my sugar-free Red Bull to my awesome D875PBZLK. Quote:

| I use mine every day. Photoshop CS2, Premiere 2.0, Illustrator CS2, etc. Makes money for me, I like that. Makes it easy to wait for the "next big thing". I got a 20" widescreen LCD for it, so everything looks new. |

| Anybody here going to try running Vista on the good ole D875PBZLKR? I would think it works great, especially if you have 4GB RAM. Vista runs fine on 2GB also. Sandog |

Vista ran fine on my rig with no problems at all except for the deal-breaker which is that there is no available Vista software from AMD/ATI for my video card's TV Tuner or my Remote Wonder. My "All-In-Wonder X800 XT" was reduced to just an "X800 XT" under Vista. I'll stick with XP for now, thanks! ![]() | |

| Not I. XPPro with a GB of RAM does all I need it to do. Perhaps later with a new board and etc. I may start thinking about Vista.

| I'm running Vista on mine with a 3.0C and one gig of ram....It does just peachy.... I had 2 gigs in it but I yanked a gig out for my test rig and to tell you the truth , I can't tell the difference between 2 gigs and one... RTM is sure one heck of a lot better than the beta and the 2 RC's!

| I think I'd rather shoot myself in the foot than "upgrade" to Vista anytime soon. The result would be about the same.

I had the same attitude when Windows 3.1 came out and I resisted the move for a while...Same with XP , now I'm no longer a big fan of Windows 98. This time I need to learn it if I'm going to continue working on other peoples computers....

I recall when XP was first released. I jumped on the bandwagon early and scrogged my workstation. When I reinstalled Win2K after three days of frustration all reverted back to being well. Not a mistake I'll make again. In fact it amazes me that anyone would move to Vista this early. Or any new OS for that matter. I remember how much stuff Windows 95 broke when it was released and when Apple put out OS X you'd have thought that the apocalypse had descended upon Mac users. I prefer to give a new OS time to bake a bit first and leave the stress and hair pulling to those with more time on their hands to troubleshoot. Besides, all one has to do is scan around the 'net a bit to see how much trouble most, if not all Vista users are having with this app, that printer and such and such game. No thanks. Been there, done that, I'll pass.
