| Checking In Hello everyone and Happy Belated Birthday, Sandog-My 875PBZ is still running great. I've gone through four video cards, the X1950GT will be the last one(I got it for dual DVI support). My computer has nearly three terabytes of hard drives, including two Seagate 750G and a 600G RAID 0 setup that I use as a work drive using a Rosewell PCI RAID card and two 320G Seagate drives. I use the computer mainly for video production and photo editing, since I got an XBox 360, I no longer feel the need to upgrade my computer every time a new game comes out. By the way, COD 4 on the XBox is insane. Best wishes for the New Year. Ron B |

| Re: Intel D875PBZLK I finally sold my D875PBZLK rig yesterday. In a way it was a little depressing, since that rig did last me nearly four years. It spent most of the last year collecting dust in a corner of my room, so I'm happy it will get put back to work. I'm sure it will make it's new owner very happy. Rock on old P4, rock on.

| Re: Intel D875PBZLK Funny, I just took mine out of one of the kids rigs (upgraded to CD2).. I've had it in 4 different cases over the years and it never missed a beat... It's going to be my dad's video rendering rig.. |

| Re: Intel D875PBZLK Hey all, I found a G1 stepping CPU at 3GHz for next to nothing ($66.50). It's OEM from the Great Ewiz. eWiz.com Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz 800MHz 478pin 1MB CPU, OEM The boxed version will run close to $200 and the 3.4GHz version way over $300 for OEM. This is a fast processor equal or greater than the old Northwood with 1MB cache and runs cooler than the orignal Prescot's. Unless you get an extreme edition this is as good as 478 gets. You'll need a 206 or greater with BIOS P20 or greater to run it. |

| Re: Intel D875PBZLK Just wondering if there are any D875PBZ owners out there that have ever had a problem with a "missing APM option" in the BIOS setup. Long story short, I moved up to a Q6600 machine a few months back and just recently set up my old D875PBZ for my seven-year-old daughter. Works perfectly, but no APM option in the BIOS, and thus no Standby. How did I lose the APM option? Using the latest Intel Chipset and P.34 Bios. Have tried both ATI and nVidia cards. When I try to put the computer in Standby it just either logs off, or reboots. Appreciate any direction. Did a search but could not come up with anything. Thanks, PTB |

| Re: Intel D875PBZLK I'm in the process of performing a final upgrade on my main workstation PC, powered by the reliant D875PBZ + Intel P4C 2.8 GHz, before reinstalling XP SP3 (slipstreamed). I'm planning to use this as my main PC for another couple of years, before I finally retire it into something like a webserver. I've discarded Vista as next OS choice as my general impressions are that it's not worth upgrading to. I've upgraded to: 4GB ECC PC3200 RAM (Kingston valueram is cheap these days, photoshop, windows desktop search, etc. eats RAM for breakfast; WinXP sees 3.5GB out of 4GB due to the bios mapping etc. I can live with that!) Asus Radeon HD3650 AGP 512MB (fanless cooling) and I still plan to upgrade my quiet Seagate Barracuda ATA IV 40GB to something similarly quiet but more speedy (WD SATA offerings look very interesting these days). However, I would like to resolve the following problem (btw, been running BIOS P34 for ages now): - Vcore is reported at 0.016V by virtually all hw monitoring apps like CPU-Z etc. How did this happen, how can I fix this? - setting burn-in to 'default' or 'disabled' always would revert to the previous over/underclocked setting used before default was activated. Fixed this by manually setting the FSB/CPU to default speeds using a software control for the clockgenerator, CG-ICS952618, provided by the same person who made CPU-Z |

| Re: Intel D875PBZLK If the thing boots at all, my guess is the vcore is a lot closer than that.. Speedfan 4.23 reports mine at 1.49 (3.0 Northwood) Have you tried this version of speedfan?

| Re: Intel D875PBZLK hmm seems like the bug is just with CPU-Z. Speedfan and MBM both report a Vcore of 1.47-1.50. The latest versions of CPU-Z also doesn't show a 'performance mode' field any more to see if PAT is enabled. |

| Re: Intel D875PBZLK As it turns out, a bad storm crashed the power supply. Put a new power supply in and presto, all the standby functions work properly. The problem was with the power supply, not the D875PBZLK. Chrs, PTB |
