Re: Intel DP45SG (Skyburg)

Same here then, I'll pass on this 1 ... No sense in upgrading for 2 useless things, Still waiting for an IDCC compatible version... Damn Intel for making us wait ... I am starting to think that no IDCC compat version will ever come out in our lifetime

Re: Intel DP45SG (Skyburg)

Ok so I just bought that board..
So here I am posting now lol
I got this Skyburg running in an Antec 900
It installed smoothly.. even if I had to reinstall my OS.. no big deal
Only thing.. Im running a dual core atm (long story with my reseller.. this is the 3rd CPU he's been ordering me and still not right one but anyways)
So it's a shame.. 800 FSB and yea it runs my memory down to 800 also (6-6-6-6-15)
Well I hope to have a core 2 duo by this weekend.. he ordered a E7400
Oh yea.. I have the "classic" memory btw.. Kingston DDR3 2 sticks of 2 GB 1333

Re: Intel DP45SG (Skyburg)

No... he ordered me a E4700.. it went DOA
He took a week to realize that tho.. and he gave me a E2180 for the meanwhile
Then he re-ordered a E5200.. but I called him and said I asked and paid a Core 2 Duo.. so now Im waiting for a E7400 lol

I do want a quad tho.. that's my next buy

Man-- save all your receipts for the build---most parts have at least a three year warranty.

Make sure your order boxed retail so you get the sata cables you need. You might want to order an sata hd cable while your at it, most oem hds don't come with cables. Pay a little extra for overnight shipping --so you can put everthing together this weekend as planned!

Never shop for technology with your significant OTHER around. They'll make snide remarks about the COST, QUALITY, TIME YOU WASTE but would have conveniently forgotten the time they bought a $200 laptop charger (true story).
