Would like to post a pic but iīm still not allowed...
What OC settings are you running at? I can upload your pic if you want.

Re: Intel DP45SG (Skyburg)

Today is the day the new 403 boards are predicted by Intel to be available. I think Intel is working more on BIOS 0088. I have called them at least three times. My last call today was not good. I was told to install XP and SP2 and see if it works. I told him I'm didn't want to do that. He said it might be an OS problem. DX48BT2 users are having no restart problems with Vista 64bit as far as I can tell and the DP45SG appears not to have restart issues in XP.

I guess I will wait for the next BIOS.

Ok, so I'm on my 2nd board now. Since the first boot I've been having the same problem Sandog has...

I push the power button, it turns on, then turns off, then turns back on and boots normally. Also, I have issues in S3 sleep mode. It will turn everything off, but then usually a minute or two later, it wakes itself back up.

Also, when I restart the computer, it completely shuts off, then turns back on. So therefore, I can't use any of the windows based utilities to flash the bios.

Note that I had NONE of these problems with my first board... and I was using ALL the same parts. Therefore, I don't believe this is a RAM or PSU problem. I think the board has the problem, and if this next bios release doesn't fix it, looks like I may be moving on to #3.
Look some pages behind.
I wrote some about the NIC, and which options there must be checked.

Re: Intel DP45SG (Skyburg)

Well it looks like my restart problem is fixed. I'm pretty sure the fix came from Windows update. There was an ATI HD 4850 update. Might have been the hotfix that was at AMD Game! site. Another thing was I finally got my proper monitor driver installed. Device Manager use to have Generic Plug and Play LCD under displays. I am pretty sure it was the ATI driver fix though.

My computer still starts and stops when you hit the power button from a cold boot. It has done that since I first powered it up with out an operating system so I view that as normal for this board and I have no problems with that happening. It also shuts off and restarts when you save BIOS settings.

I also tested the Sleep setting (S3) and it returns to Vista now. I have no problems at the moment but I am still waiting for IDCC so I can see how all my temps are fairing with the mobo and CPU after I run some PassMark benchmarks.

Hm, thatīs interesting and good to know. the 4870 seems not to be affected.

As I said im quite confident that "power on twice from cold boot" will be adressed soon, same problem the DP35DP had.

Did you get my screenshot i mailed to you Sandog?

Re: Intel DP45SG (Skyburg)

I have the Sapphire TOXIC HD 4850 and have been getting the drivers from Sapphire's site. I had the 8.9's but I might just get them from AMD Game! from now on.

I downloaded four updates from Windows update page last night and the problem was gone (the ATI update was one of them.) Which monitor driver I was using didn't matter.

The start and restart is still unusual though and I think Intel might correct this later with a new BIOS. Other than that the board is holding up well. I need to get a better HSF for my Q9650 and I am looking at getting the OCZ Dominatrix mouse. Everything else I am happy with.

Re: Intel DP45SG (Skyburg)

I have this board with 2 HD4850 VisionTek cards.
I am running Vista Enterprise x64 and do not have stability or BSOD issues.

I do have the restart problem (computer boots up when you shut it down) and sometimes at start up my 3rd monitor has swaped places with the second monitor and moved up or down.

Welcome to ABXZone devSpeed.

Make sure your power properties for the power switch is set to power-off and not reset or standby.

Which DVI connector is the main output on the 4850? Is it the bottom or top of card connector. I get these mixed up between NVidia and ATI. I think in CCC it shows my #1 monitor being the primary. I have the HDMI cable hooked to the bottom connector.

The bottom must be the main output.
My monitors are configured as such
1 Primary Card Bottom
2 Primary Card Top
3 Secondary Card Bottom

as for the "power switch" I assume you mean the UI "power" button. I don't use it to power down.
