Re: Intel DP45SG (Skyburg)

Update from Windows failed. Used recovery cd with SG0118.BIO. No real improvements for me.
The processor is still seen as running at 3.16 Ghz (E8400), although it should have been fixed with a previous update, memory (Twin3X2048-1333C9) still set by default at 1066Mhz.
A BIOS update every 2 months. Intel's way of making a motherboard

@WolfSoul I was vouching for you - I can't edit my posts, and it's not because of a browser issue. If you scroll down and look at the bottom left, under Posting Rules, it tells me that I cannot edit posts. It's likely because I haven't met a certain post amount yet, but in any event, I'm on your side.

*sigh* v0118. I just got v0116, and after running at 1333mhz for not much more than an hour after i posted, the machine hung. Back at 1066mhz, bogdanw have you checked with Corsair's support at all? I might go that route next.

Tried express update from Windows, and when it rebooted it didn't even try to update, booted right into windows and said "bios update was successful" Tried the recovery bios route, and I was not even able to boot to recovery with the jumper off. tried repeated times with no success. I actually got a call from Intel support sometime yesterday following up with the issue since I contacted them. I guess i'll try to get some more resolution, and ask them about the memory while I'm at it. It's not like the corsair memory runs at specs outside that of which the motherboard will tolerate... the max voltage for ram on the DP45SG is 1.8v.

Too bad.
