hey I see you've got a Logitech illuminated kb and are having troubles... I've been using a backlit Saitek Eclipse 104 keyboard USB and have never had a problem (that I could link to the keyboard at least)...

Can't post a URL because i'm "new" but you can google it.

If I disconnect the PSU from the MB no sound, as soon as I plug it back into the MB the sound starts up again. This is without actually booting up.

Has anyone else had a problem like this?

Going to be taking it back the the supplier next week. Hope for a swap out.

Re: Intel DP45SG (Skyburg)

Spooner - I've never had that type of issue directly, but I've heard high-pitched noises come from electronics before. It could be a cap - did you stick your head in there and see if it was coming from the on-board speaker or not? Just because the noise is audible when you plug the atx connector in doesn't mean its the motherboard. Did you check the Power supply? Since you have to replace one of them, I would recommend you take out both and try to segregate them so you can be sure what item it is.

If it's the motherboard, you might have better luck replacing it through your supplier. On the otherhand, PSU's are a dime a dozen. If that's the case, get something 500W+.

Re: Intel DP45SG (Skyburg)

Got BIOS 118 on my machine tonight, through recovery mode. Also, ATI released 9.7 driver package for 4870 series, which I am going to update to right now. Next week I'll try changing memory settings again to see how it goes.
