| Motherboard and CPU upgrade--XP Re-install ? I run the ASUS P5B with a C2D 6700 operating XP SP3. Will I need to repair install or reinstall XP if I swap in the P6T and an i7 cpu ? From previous upgrades, I think preloading the new Intel drivers will enable a smooth upgrade without a new or repair install of XP. Thx. |

| Re: Motherboard and CPU upgrade--XP Re-install ? Yes, you'll need the new chipset drivers and other drivers, of course. And reactivation. I don't think you'll HAVE to do a re-install, but it is preferable.
