And youre right, Im thinking of IMG disabling not HTML. Disabling HTML would make for a cumbersome mess

| No problem glad to help. Bad day? Nah, not at all. As I was just joking with JP over at AMDMB/MSI, Im posting right now in six threads across three forums. Then MS releases what appears at first to be a new Service Pack, so I got an MS window open on docs. And now Im just plain getting lost

| Sorry, no I haven't had a chance to read them. I have been studying for midterms, quizzes and assignments. If I have some time I will read it later. I think I remember reading that MS will have to include Sun Java. One thing I don't like about the Sun Java is that little icon that sits in the taskbar. I really don't need another icon, especially a useless one. I hope they get rid of it. Quote:

| Well heres what ive gotten updated on: Its ugly LOL As everyone knows by now SP1a is based on the Fed Court Decision with Sun Java. So MS gets rid of MS VM. But then MS goes on to say it is going to be required to include Sun Java in all versions of Windows . Additionally MS, rather than waiting to finish the Sun Java client, they just dropped MS VM. But they say that Sun JVM will be added within 30 days as required by law. At which point they will then roll out Windows XP SP1b !! (Sun Java included) Of course this means anyone installing a new system today wont have any Java from Microsoft. And surely there will be bugs and bumps when SP1b comes out. But if that were not bad enough...... Think about the people that have Windows XP SP1 (original). Everyone knows MS VM is not uninstallable. And MS is being very vague on whether or for how long they will support and offer future security patches for MS VM. And as we all know, hackers crack MS VM about three times a year. So Im curious to know how MS plans to address all those SP1 computers in circulation as time passes. Surely they will have some MS VM uninstaller at some point, no? Otherwise MS VM is going to be a crackers dream as the months pass. Any thoughts on this mess?

| So what is the recommendation? If doing a new install should we go with SP1 (assuming it was saved to disk) or with the new SP1a?

| Inf drivers, how to update old installation Also have a little question here. After I have installed everytjing, incl the Intel Inf drivers, I just found that there is a new version of the Inf drivers. How can I now update the drivers ? When I run the setup.exe, it does install something, but when I check back the device manager I see that still the old drivers seem to be installed. What to do ? regards Manfredo |

| Ive got a rather busy day going here folks. If you can wait until this evening I will have the time to 1. List for you the method to reinstall INF drivers where overlying device drivers are mandated a reinstall. 2. My thoughts on whether to install SP1 or SP1a See you this eve.
