| Re: OVERCLOCKING the Intel DP45SG no... after a bit of minutes under occt linkpack (read few post above), the system become instable even if increasing the vcore till 3 step above default (1,25 show by cpu-z) |

| Re: OVERCLOCKING the Intel DP45SG what about at 2.8? 2.9 is a pretty steep overclock for a Q8200 anyway.

| Re: OVERCLOCKING the Intel DP45SG stability rock solid @2.78 giga 398 fsb v core 1.22 above... run till 2.9 giga... 415 fsb... but instability after twenty minutes of occt linkpack i won't to increase vcore above 2.254 v. measured by cpu-z ... the board's bios (latest) show a different value, (higher than 2.254) now i don't remember, but is the third manual voltage step above the default... |

| Re: OVERCLOCKING the Intel DP45SG reading with attention the charts of occt... i think that's not a vcore problem, but it is caused by the highest freq for the feature of the processor q 8200... |

| Re: OVERCLOCKING the Intel DP45SG yeah, i don't think you can go any higher than that with that processor and this motherboard.

| Re: OVERCLOCKING the Intel DP45SG It's a good board but I'd recommend you look online first to see how well users of that board fare with overclockong the Q8200. A lot depends on luck as well. Sometimes you end up with a processor that simply doesn't have that great overclockability. E.g. I was reading on this one forum that there was a Q6600 user who's processor topped out at only 2.6 Ghz. Mine tops out at 3.0. Then again there are some people who can take their Q6600's upto 3.6Ghz on air cooling alone. If you're considering changing your Skyburg for something else, don't. Instead consider upgrading your processor to a Q9550 or better still Q9650. That's what I'm doing right now.

| Re: OVERCLOCKING the Intel DP45SG That's a lot to pay for an unlocked multiplier. A Q9650 would be much more economical. If you have to go for the more expensive QX9650, upgrade your board as well and get a Core i7. Much better performance than QX9650.

| Re: OVERCLOCKING the Intel DP45SG yeah... you say the true... in january it will be already a "vintage" processor coupled with a vintage board... but i love to get the top of the lga 775 in any case q9650 is a cheaper alternative for my purpose |
