I'm not 100% sure if this holds true for the P4C800 Deluxe or not but with my P4P800 Deluxe anyways this holds true. It appears as though upping the VAGP adds more voltage the the NB increasing the chances of a stable overclock.

For example:

Previously, I could only get pc stable at 260mhz with my vcore at 1.65volts. Once I upped vagp to 1.7 volts, now I am running at 275mhz with DEFAULT vcore. Capped by my memory unfortunately. I still have more room I believe. Just my two cents.

Haha ! yeah, I love those to
Its just like saying the same thing twice and hoping someone will understand better

I too have found this thread useful ,and now I'm up to 266FSB
Not THAT much of an improvment but still !

Sure would be nice if it became a sticky, or else I fear it will dissapear amongst all the other "common/random questions" threads.

Hey ! I didn't know about that
Gotta give it a try right away

Tried the 1.6/1.7 AGP voltage trick but it didn't do it for me.
But I think my 2.6 Cpu simply can't take any more

Still It might help someone else, so I added it to the 1st post ( and MPS REV.) .

I just noticed that the ASUS Boot logo doesn't always display the Hyperthreading "mark" (H T) on the Intel logo..

Strange..sometimes it does and sometimes it doesnt.
So I thoght maybe HT wans't enabled.
But there were 2 processors listed beneath the "Processors" tab (devicemanager).

And whatever the Asus Boot Logo showed they were still there.
So I disabled HT in bios and then of course there was only 1 processor reported by devicemanager.

Still strange that you can't rely on the boot info to tell you the truth !?
Or maybe there is a problem in enabling HT.

For HT logo, it will only appear at the very first time after you shut the computer down from Windows XP if a processor supporting HT feature is used. For example, you can see the HT logo if you restart the computer from Windows XP or the next time you switch on the computer after you have shut it down from Windows XP. If you boot the system to DOS or any other operation system except Windows XP, you will not see the HT logo the next boot because it requires support from the operating system used together. That is why sometimes you can see the logo, but sometimes not.

Here's a few benchmark scores for you.
These are just my typical scores that anyone with a similar setup should be able to achieve.

My hardware is in my sig. if your wondering.

I can't get past 256 FSB with my 2.6C. But I've still been able to steadily increase memory bandwidth, simply by playing with BIOS settings. The effective clock for my memory bus is now up to 513MHz and I'm getting fairly consistent Sandra unbuffered scores above 3400. My current goal is to run 100% stable at Cas2 with my OCZ Gold modules. I'll be installing a 2.4C in the near future. Will be interesting to see what happens.

My current settings:
Memory timings: 2-3-4-7
Burst Length: 4
Memory voltage: 2.85v
VCore: 1.6v
DRAM Idle Timer: 64T
DRAM Refresh rate: 7.8uSec

I thought that the 2.6c's had a different stepping. There was something about the 2.6c's being less likely to overclock to the extremes because of this.

The VAGP up is a great little thing to know. I like to run the voltage that 'should' be run at the speed I am at.
3.2ghz @ 1.55v I find it to be the most stable. However, without VAGP @ 1.7v I have to run ~1.6v to be stable under load.

My temps are also like this:

3.2@1.6vcore = ~40c
3.2@1.55vcore = ~35c
