Is there any way to fix Vcore fluctuation on this board, I don't know how to solder so I'm hoping I won't have to do that, is there any other option?

Afraid not, soldering seems to be the only way to implement the droop mod.

Is there somewhere I could pay someone to do it for me?

Yeah, he's done a number of mods on several members' boards and they look great.

I'm using the fasttrak RAID too my friend but I don't get a solid IDE LED? Mine flickers just fine. what two harddrives are you using? just curious. I'll try to help you with some ideas if I can. how do you have them set (master/slave) ?

As far as the vcore fluctuation problem, is there really a problem with this board? Are you have that bad of a performance hit due to it? Sorry, I've been gone a couple weeks and just jumping into all this now and didn't catch the earlier posts. I would most certainly solder it for you but I live on the west coast. I wouldn't want to void my warranty on this board. I just made good on mine. Asus sent me a brand new shiny rev. 2 board. Made my day...

One more thing, I am using 4x512 sticks (CorsairXMStwin3200LL)...more than Asus recommends. If there were to be a problem with this here on my 'puter, what would it be? What should I look out for?

I do very little OCing - upped the mem V from 2.50 to 2.75 and adjusted a mem timing (forget which one(from2.5 to 2)) to match Corsair's stated spec.of 2,3,2,6.
I need this to run very stable, as I push it hard sometimes with important data -I do file backups every 20 minutes. Passed MEMtest, and SANDRA looks a bit above average.
THX....RR

I say if it doesn't run completely stable at CAS 2, 2, 2, 5 at 2.85v, default fsb, performance enhancements enabled, then there's a problem... No seriously, give it a try, if it doesn't run completely stable back it off to where you're at, but do a couple bandwidth benches and see what a difference that makes. let me know how it goes. And I do run my memory at those timings all the time by the way, not when overclocking of course but when I'm set at stock fsb, I set that memory as tight as it goes.

Wonder is there any way to set 2T CMD rate on this board?

My RAMs can run tight timings at 2T, but can't even run at those timings with 1T (default on P4C800, and unchangable from BIOS.

Mabye that's what Asus does with it's "performance acceleration mode" in the ram timing screen and disabling it would be like setting it to 2T vs. 1T? Remember there is also a performance enhanced mode in the voltage screen as well which would probably relate to chipset like properties? Just a thought cause I really don't know for sure what those two are related to.

I just ran Dual-Prime95 for about 15 minutes at 230FSB 1.575Vcore and it dropped to 1.488

Yup, that's typical of the P4C800-E Deluxe. That's why I made the switch to DFI.

Why this power droppage occurs? I like to run with Prime95 enabled...
My PSU is OK... 12.00V.

The voltage regulator on the board isn't great. However, ASUS has said that this vcore fluctuation is perfectly normal and within spec and does not affect the normal operations of the CPU.
