| p4p800 deluxe dual channel? "How can i tell if dual channel is being used?" Today i got so sick and tired with my p4s8x that i went out and bought myself a brand new p4p800 deluxe. Sinds i didn't consider buying a dual channel mobo before i purchased a single corsair module last year. 512 Mb PC3200 cas2 XMS thingy. My bank account is still recovering from that purchase. Anyway, since you can't take adventage off the dual channel mode with just one module i diceded to purchase an identical corsair module. Only thing is that it has a slightly different revision number. The one i bought today is 1.2 and the one i bought last year is rev number 1.1 The dude at the computer store told me i could get my money back (163.- euro) when the dual channel thing didn't work dor me. My problem is that i'm not able to tell if it is working or not!Could someone please tell me how i'm able to see if dual channel is "ON" or not. I can't seem to find anything in the bios that does suck a thing.

| Thnx... will look for the message next time i boot. Installing windows now. Finally... couldn't seem to get the raid controller running. One other question. Even if it works, the dual channel thing, wouldn't a identical (rev 1.1 in stead of 1.2) corsair module get better results? Won't my config produce to many error's because of the fact the moldules are not totaly identical? Maybe i'm a wanker over nothing, but it has cost me allot of money and if i'm better of using a module with rev number 1.1 i'll try to find one.

| the supplier of my first module sais that there is a change my current mem config could couse problems. That's why he advises me to manualy overide the SPD settings to 2-3-3-6 and maybe push the voltage to 2,75. When that runs ok i should make sure there are no errors what so ever by letting my pc pull an all-nighter while running memtest86 (see memtest86.com). I called him because z-cpu said she found one pc2700 and one pc3200 corsair 512 cas2 module. So i tought i had been screwed by the supplier. When i called him he explained to me that because of some hardware limitations of the corsair module, my mobo's spd reconised the module as a pc2700. But in fact it really is a pc3200. So that is why he recommended the manual overide. Is this true, has anyone heard of the before? here's the mem details corsair XMS 512Mb cas-2 PC3200 serial: af0203801 type number: cmx512-3200 c2PT XMS3202v1.1 023616

| For those who are interrested. this pdf says: SPD programmed at proposed JEDEC values for PC2700 PC3200 not defined by JEDEC) So the man at the computer shop where i bougth the corsair module did know what he was talking about. And manually overriding should do the trick...
