| P4T-E + 3.06GHz 533FSB? I got a P4T-E MB bios 1008 beta 3 and it has the ICS clock generators. Im using 2x256 Samsung PC800 and i know theres a chance it might not overclock to PC1066 speeds but nevertheless im wondering if anybody has this motherboard paired with an Intel P4 3.06GHz 533FSB cpu. I was thinking about getting this cpu because it seems like a cheap and fast upgrade (without spending too much $$$) |

| The last Northwood B CPU I tried in my ICS P4T-E was the 2.53Ghz and it worked absolutely fine. I'm pretty sure that the later BIOS updates for this motherboard introduced 23x multiplyers. There is no reason at all with the 3.06Ghz Northwood B wont work in an ICE equipped P4T-E. You wont of course have Hyperthreading support as the BIOS doesn't support it. You may well have to run your PC800 RDRAM at 3x in the BIOS, but other than that all should be well. |
