The P6T Deluxe, would be my second choice. It is a better deal of the two, if you're not into extreme oc'ing. I just wanted a mobo that I could really check all voltages with a multimeter. Along with a few other things.

Update, I'm still running the i7 920 @ 4200mhz. I'm having fun playing around with Tweakit utility. It lets ya fine tune voltages in windows. I use it along with my multimeter. Hey Dan,exc, how goes it with the mobo's

Re: *** rampage ii extreme ***

Hi Guys, I am just back home. This weekend I plan on trying to push to 4 Ghz. I just booted my test rig and it looks like the temps are 1 -2 degrees C lower than before I traveled. Perhaps the extra week helped the AS-5 settle in.

Re: *** rampage ii extreme ***

Hey Dan, I'll look forward to how goes with a 4gig oc. I'm playing around with lower then 4200mhz oc. I'm just looking for the biggest oc with the least Vcore voltage.

Re: *** rampage ii extreme ***

I have reached 3.8 but not Prime 95 stable. In fact I BSOD'd at 3.465 Ghz at 90 minutes Prime 95. I am at BCLK 165 CPU Voltage 1.31250 DRAM V 1.64356 and QPI/DRAM core Volt 1.3.
My temps with Prime 95 running are in the low 60's so not too bad on that score??

Re: *** rampage ii extreme ***

Hey Dan, more CPU Voltage, try 1.35v for the 3800mhz. It looks like its a voltage thing. Also try using the 21 multi if you're not using it now.

Re: *** rampage ii extreme ***

Will do Sir Skully, thanks. I am using 21 multi but I will boost the voltage.
Right now I decided I would finish up the actual assembly so I can put my case together. That way I will have an honest air flow which should be better. So, I am up to my elbows in wire ties, Molex connectors, a dremmel and a nibbling tool :-). I will post a pic when done.

Re: *** rampage ii extreme ***

Even at 3.46 with 1.35V V I get a BSOD with Prime 95. Any ideas?

Re: *** rampage ii extreme ***

SS. or any of you R-II users, are you using the thermal probes and if so what are you monitoring with them?

I do see one problem, QPI/DRAM core volt is to low. Should be a wee higher then the CPU voltage. Like 1.4v to your Cpu 1.35v's. Sometime equal to cpu volts will work. But never under the cpu volts. Ya just gotta play around and see what works.
