| Re: *** rampage ii extreme *** Really Imppressive Sir Skully. Do you know what the record is with an i920? I decided to keep the 285 GTX in my main rig so I ordered another one for my test rig. It will be here on Monday. I will just have a spare 8800GTX as an emergency GPU when the replacement comes.

| Re: *** rampage ii extreme *** Another thread I'm going to be following,as my son will be building a Rampage II system for himself(and I suspect I'll be using when he's not around hehe). He feels left out since I built my skyburg and his other brother built a gigabyte dual core system as well,it's definetly more fun to build one's own than to buy a dell or whatever lol

| Re: *** rampage ii extreme *** I used AS-3 then the Zalman formula and then AS-5. Of them all AS-5 gave me the lowest Temps, by far (about 5 Degrees)

| Re: *** rampage ii extreme *** I reapplied the Ceramique by Arctic Silver and the difference is lower temps on all cores. So it do make a difference how ya apply the different kinds of thermal grease. Here's a couple screenies showing the different temps. After hrs. of stress testing.

| Re: *** rampage ii extreme *** SS, I see you are using OCCT, do you like it? I just got my new GTX 285 in to replace the one I "borrowed" so I am back running trying to get a stable overclock.

| Re: *** rampage ii extreme *** I am trying OCCT V 3.0.2 b03. I am FINALLY stable at a 3.464 Ghz OC at one hour of stress test using OCCT. My temps are reasonable in the mid 50's. So now I can start to push it up. Here is a pic at about 50 minutes into the test. ![]()
