| Random crashes/restarts SLi + overclocked QX6850 Recently added another GPU to form Sli. Never overclocked this system until I added anther GPU. Was not happy with performance, many others suggested I overclock CPU to at least 3.6GHz. CPU runs cool...around 42 @ idle. The error message is WINDOWS RECOVERED FROM BLUE SCREEN. Ever since, I can;t get onto EVGA.COM?!?!?!!? I am running latest Nvidia drivers...186.18. These random crashes would happen at desktop with nothing going on. I think when the monitor goes into hibernation it triggers it? Please help!!! ![]()

| Re: Random crashes/restarts SLi + overclocked QX6850 I am not sure it's a driver issue as it happened with older drivers as well. Very random and seldom does it blue screen.

| Re: Random crashes/restarts SLi + overclocked QX6850 Ok, maybe try turning off hibernation. It and may very well be your oc'ing that's the problem. Try running at default speed and see if that helps. Idle temp is not so important as when the CPU is under stress. Try OCCT to strees CPU and Real temp to check temp. Get OCCT CPU stresser here free download....Download - OCCT Website english And Real Temp here also free...|MG| RealTemp 3.30 RC4 Download

| Re: Random crashes/restarts SLi + overclocked QX6850 Ran Prime 95 for about 6 hours stress test with no hiccups. CPU ran @ 70c. Seems to restart once in a blue moon on idle. I have an Xbox hooked to the same LCD while playing the xbox and the computer was running. I noticed the computer restarted as it made a BEEP.. Error message was.....BLUE SCREEN. ![]()
