SINXP1394 - Ready to give up (freezing in 3dmark01) I get horrible freezes in 3dmark01 no matter what I do. I've tried AGP drivers from 1.13 to 1.16a. I've tried Catalysts 3.2 to 3.7. I've done so many complete system formats, I've lost count. Normally when you have video problems, you think of the video card (9700 Pro AIW in my case). But there's no way ATI is to blame for this. Maybe it's a combination thing, but the card wouldn't be doing this on another mobo. Does anyone have any insight on the matter? Some combination of drivers that works? Maybe a BIOS setting I should play with? Anything? Cuz I'm about to buy a 875P mobo and just take a loss on this hunk of crap.

How do I check that? I never thought to check the Northbridge fan. Though the freezeup is always at the same exact parts of 3dmark2001 (depending on what driver version I have installed). So it's unlikely, but I'll try anything at this point.

| If 3dmark01 always freezes at the same point try the latest version (330) from futuremark. I remember a similar problem with 3dmark00 where you had to update to v1.1.

Also, if you haven't done so already, install Motherboard Monitor and check the temps out,

Yea, it's spinning fine. The system always locks up at the exact same points in 3DMark, so I really don't think it's a heat issue.

I do have 330. I put the board to 4x AGP in both the BIOS and Win XP, and it seems to work now...
