| 8460 Deluxe does anyone else find this quite a picky card? i find only my enermax 431w will allow the tv-out to work. tried sh!tty generic 300w's, enermax 460w, hiper 520w and now antec true550, none seem to work. tho the antec could be faulty as the rails were drastically low by their standards-rails at - tolerance or below and the -5 was at 0v. basically i was wondering wat psu ppl had with this card? have they had trouble w/ the tv-out? |

| Yes, if you look into some older threads you will find a lot of people having problems with the ASUS V84xx deluxe cards. It's the 3.3line that almost has to be 3.4V to work well. P.S. for the people who are wondering: No, I still haven't my card back.

| You have to make a difference between the deluxe and not deluxe cards. the not deluxe cards (without TV-in) are working fine. The ones with VIVO (TV-in and TV-out) have an other design and TV-out is linked with TV-in because it's one and the same chip.

| I also have a 8460 DELUXE, and of course, TV in / TV out doesn't work.... I'am looking for some solution throug those threads since december... without success. I only note that some people solved the problem by using a PS with a 3.3 line stable and high enough (as Kedas reported). How can we find such a PS ??? |

| hi, if you haven't already, read this: http://www.asusboards.com/forums/sho...hlight=summary basically you have two options: - You return your card (wait a long time) and receive one that isn't that sensitive for the 3.3V. - You buy yourself a new power supply an antec truepower 380 for example (many people solved their problems with that PS not only capture driver problems) I will maybe buy one because my 300W PS is on the edge of its capabilities. (and I want to add a DVD-writer, and a third HD)

| who do i return the card to? i mean i had it for near 6 months now...do you think that the retailer will exchange? also i tried 2 truepower 550W and they both dun help. in fact the old supply, enermax 431W had no probs but cuz i gave to away i need a new one and none works...not even a new enermax 431w...i did notice that the spec were differenct to the one i bought originally. |

| The card is still in guaranty so if you can point out that your card isn't working like it should then you should get an other one. (I don't think they would try to repair) I don't think that after 6months you have the option to just replace it. you will have to use your guaranty. because you already tried so many PS after that first one there is also a possibility that something is broken since it last worked with that enermax. Do your best to return it. (although you could need a lot of patience)

| Thanks to Kedas for help and for making summary of the situation. I ordered an Antec TruePower 380, and I will receive it middle of next week. Asap I have it, I will try and revert the results. If problem isn't solved, I will then try to return it and let warranty play Thanks again, and have a nice weekend |

| THANK YOU KEDAS I was back home this afternoon with my new PS, an Antec TruePower 380. I directely installed this new one, and of course, I re-installed the WDM Video Capture drive Results : no code 10 anymore, and the device is now working properly ! I cheked the 3.3 line with Probe : it is now at an average of 3.28 (against 3.08 with my old PS) Antec PS are a little expensive, but after such a long time of disappointment, what a pleasure now... Thank you again for your help ![]() |
