9500np conductive paint hard mod (question)...

Hi guys.
I have a 9500np saphire built by ati.
I was interested in trying to convert the 9500np to a 9700pro using the conductive paint mod.
My question is, since the original bios that the card comes with, is unlocked and overclockable do I still need to flash to the 9700pro bios for the mod to work properly?

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi computergeek!!

In answer to your question, after you do the conductive paint mod, you have to flash to the unlocked ati9700 bios in order to enable all 8 piplines.

The 9500 pro is a different PCB and as far as I know( very little), there is no way to make it it to any thing else.

For some reason that sounds so funny- the card that can be practally be turned into anything
By the way, do you have a link to that site. I heard of a FireGl soft mod but not the hard mod.

Here This archive seems to be diabled, I can't get any pics to enlarge or the bios links to load. There's a link within the last paragraph that takes you to a Rage3D thread. It's interesting, but, I found nothing helpful there for me though.
