| * ati 5870..... * The store Micro Center had one ATI 5870 in stock today. So I grabbed it while I could, its a HIS brand card. WOW! Talk about a Heavy big long card. This is where a big case, with a horizontal mobo board, comes in real handy. Installation was easy with my PC case. The card run fairly quiet, and cool with default cooler. 36C at idle, haven't taken a temp at load yet. A crossfire will be something else, having two of these brutes in one case... I've got some benchmarks and W-7 experience index..score. I'll post more info, as I get to know this card better.

I'm not sure If I can see any improvement over my old CrossFire 4870.. As I ran my settings the same as 5870. But I've not played very much with FarCry 2 yet. Anywho so far I'm happy with 5870.... It does have more power in Benches, then CrossFire 4870 with 1gig memory each card. So its nice to run one card with more then me ole CrossFire.

| Re: * ati 5870..... * Thanks - should get my GPU tomorrow along with the i7. Going to benchtest the board before tearing down and rebuilding the rig. Your scores are great and I hope you enjoy the new GPU.
