ATI Catalyst 9.9 - long time to load?

Does this 9.9 driver take a very long time to load? Or is it just me. I update every month and this one had hard drive activity for a very long time before the full reboot. What is it doing?

It just seem to do much more loading than the others. And, I loaded it 2x.

I may get a small SSD when I load Win7 as a second OS. What do you think of this one. It will have a Trim firmweare update.

I hear hear ya, I really thought it loaded OK.
If it would have loaded slow, I sure would have noticed.
Also all seems to work ok......so far.
Now to the SSD, The price looks good.
The drive Crucial I really don't know much about.
For me its OCZ, ya pay a little more.
But the support is great....
I think you'd be fine with the Crucial drive.

It loaded fine for me. I just loaded it on two different computers. Both had a good deal of writing during shut-down.

When I make my final decision, I will definitely look at OCZ again. I have time because I will wait for a OEM Win 7. With OCZ they make fast SSD drives and slower SSD drives. The ones you have have great specs.

I will just get a small one at first and only use it for the OS, not much data.

The Vertex line is fast, they do have faster SSD's..
The Vertex is way fast, the others maybe 10% or less faster, plus more costly.

OCZ Solid Series

Sequential Access - Read 155 MB/sec
Sequential Access - Write 90 MB/sec

They sure have a large product line.

Yeah their SSD line is quite large.
In reality all their SSD drives are fast, you just pick your speed and price.
