have u run any benchmarks with the latest catalyst yet m8?
3Dmark 03 - I lost 20 points but thats not statistically significant. In my system with identical hardwre, software, and testing conditions compared to Cat3.1, theres essentially no performance change.

Im pleased though. Performance has been good all the way along with the 9700Pro. ANd Id rather ATI concentrate on bug fixes and stability. Some video card companies driver versions improve 3D performance at the expense of system stability or 2D iamge quality. (yuck)

Bugs with NASCAR, Mafia and other games are fixed. People with AMD systems that saw stuttering claim alot of the stuttering has been cleaned up with Cat 3.2

Id say if you havent tried the 3.2s yet, give them a go and see what you think

You have a P4S8X in one machine, and a Parhelia in another? I'm not surprised you are having problems!

I don't play CS, but haven't had any problems with any games so far. Didn't gain much performance (if any), so it might be better to stick with Cat 3.1 for now if you don't have any problems.

I got back into playing Dungeon Siege recently, and with the Cat3.2 drivers, Dungeon Siege is actually faster. With Cat3.1 Dungeon Siege was a little on the slow side.

it always was a little slow on my computer even with default vid settings, i never figured that one out. It was so choppy you couldn't even play.
