dual monitor gaming

How could I get my games to run on both monitors? I know you can get the same thing to show up on both but I want part of it to show up on one monitor while the other side shows up on the other.

Well I think you would need software like ATi's Hydravision but I am not sure what you need in detail. : |

Most games do not support this if they are full screen games. I have banged my head against a similar wall, Unless the game is specifically written for such it will either default to monitor 1 or give you an option to select which monitor to display on. I could be totally off base here, but these are what I have generaly experienced with multiple monitor setups.

Also I had a problem that is related to how DirectX handles itself. I wanted to play a game on one monitor and still be able to mess around in internet explorer and other programs on the second monitor/desktop (I have the 9700 Pro w/hydravision installed). The trouble is that full screen games like to minimize as soon as they loose focus (or are no longer the top program). So as long as I didn't try to click on anything in the other desktop I was ok, but as soon as I did down went the game on the main display.
