GF3 memory problem!!!!

My GF3 ti200 is being a pain in my a$$.

Every now and then when I boot my computer, completely random as far as i can tell, my video card shows up as having 32megs of ram!!!???? There is a huge performance hit, so the card is really just acting like it has 32 megs.

If i reboot a few times sometimes the problem just fixes itself and it shows up as having 64 megs like its supposed to.

any ideas!?!?!

dx9, 43.00 detonators, new crystal orb installed so heat is not an issue.

Sounds like hardware failure to me. :\ Maybe try pulling the card, inspecting for damage (busted caps, traces, etc), and reseating. Maybe the contact just isn't good. . .

tried reseating the thing, and i cant really inspect the memory contacts (at least on the front side) since the ramsinks totally cover them.

of course this happens 1 month after the warranty ran out

My old Asus GeForce 3 used to do the same thing. I never tried to fix it, I would just reboot it again when I saw that happen and it always worked fine.
