Graphics card for Dell E510

Hi all! Looking for a decent graphics card to soup up daughter dell E510 desktop. A little concerned with what will fit as far as size and also what the power supply will handle. It has a PCIexpress slot so that gives us some more options. Not looking to spend a whole lot bit she is starting to get into gaming so i would like to be able to carry it over to a new system in the not to distant future. Looking for kind of a quick fix for now so she will stay of my rig! she wont be playing at any crazy resolutions as she only has a 19inch CRT right now. Any suggestions?

I don't think length is too much of a problem. It's a mid tower case but I might have to take the case off to see if there are any clearance probs. Price wise I am trying to stay between 100 and 200 dollars. Newegg has an 8800gts for 89$ Makes me sick when I think what i paid for mine......

One of the HD4850s would be a great choice at approx 140USD. The one in my daughter's rig (see sig) is running great. I'm very happy with it.

Re: Graphics card for Dell E510

For under $200 you best choices are the Geforce 9800GTX+ or a HD4850

Re: Graphics card for Dell E510

Thanks guys! looks like i might need to replace the power supply too. I'm not sure a 305 watt power supply will handle these cards. What do you think?

Yep, you need a new PSU, a good quality PSU. 550W/600W with 2 +12V rails (35 to 40 amps)
