I'm sure when 9800 pro hits the streets the 9700 pro will come down, but how much I couldn't tell you

My bet is around $220 by May. Give the 9800 some time on the market and it wil come down. Look at the Ti4600. The FX just came out and it is already at $188. The 8500 is under $100

It is already at $220. When the 9800 comes out it should be considerably less.

$220! Where?? Best I've seen for an ATI 9700 PRO is around $325 from a decent reseller. The Non-PROs are going for $220 and some of ATI's partners PROs are going for less than $300. I don't think the 9700 PRO is going to drop too much untill the 9800 Non-PRO comes out, which will be a month or so after the 9800 PRO is out. The 9800 Non-PRO will essentially replace the it's older sibling.

I just hope the retail built by ATI 9700 Pro goes below $250 sometime in the relatively near future... I was originally planning on buying a 9500 Pro, but with the price falling on the 9700 Pro, I'll wait. I'm patient

Staples has coupons for it's online store: http://www.redflagdeals.com/deals/coupons.php. If you purchase over $200, you get $30 back.

And they also have a new Price match policy. They will match the lower price and give you 50% back (up to $50). This works in Canada, but not sure about ths US stores.
