| Radeon 9700 Pro modded to 9800? I thought I saw something about this awhile back how to make a 9700 a 9800 with a simple software/driver patch? If anybody here has done this, was there a performance increase? And how did you do it? The reason I ask is because I think I might pick one up here soon. |

| hey, do a search over at www.rage3d.com. use the moded .sys file (can't remember the exact file name) - good results, when I did it had a 200 point jump in 3dmark03. If I remember correctly the cat 3.4's are supposed to give a similar perf jump, they should be out shortly as well. ![]() edit: this thread
