Arrow Radeon 9700 'revisions'

I've heard bits and pieces of talk that indicates that Radeon 9700's of all makes, but more specifically the Pro version have different revisions, up to and including differing memory types and clocks. Something like newer Pro's are not as fast as older ones?

Could someone clarify this for me?

All mobos and vid cards etc get new revsions. The R9700 is currently at 03. It uses the same ddr and is clocked the same also. Only difference are a couple added chips for better voltage control and they switched capacitor manufactures. Also new bios inside. They probably fixed a few issues too. But my r9700pro is a rev 01 and runs just fine.

Hiya Catch22 I finished all the mods on my 9500np rev3..> 9700pro rev3 today! I need lots of tweaking to get all the voltage to work in concert....that's gonna take lots of runs and notes.

Early test @ Vref=1.375, VDD=3.110, Vgpu=1.726 and VDDQ=2.759 allows me to run at 380/639.... This is on cheap RShack HSF and some ram sinks.. I took a run at you old score and got close.. Don't go upping it yet, OK! I'm going to try for 19k on this card, back it down and the retire it to the CAD system.
