Radeon 9800 Pro Review

Quote:
The ATi 9800 Pro card is aimed at the high end enthusiast market and it is certainly a high end enthusiast performer. Also at $399 it is not cheap, but neither was the 9700 Pro when it was introduced, and now you can find them below $300. In time this card will meet that same fate. For now, if you want the absolute best there is, the 9800 Pro is it. Don't forget that we are also promised a 256MB model to be shipping in April as well. Will that be the ultimate DOOM card?

I could get a PS2 and 5 games for that. . . ;]

Actually, these 'arms races' between computer component manufacturers seem to be pulling computers in the wrong direction - they're getting louder and hotter, but. . . not much faster? Maybe it's just me, there seems to be a lot of slop in computers today.
