| Edit: I think i have cured the problem i uninstalled *norton AV* it seems ok now so instead of throwing my Asus mobo in the bin the *Norton 2002 utilities* was binned instead. My A7V333 shuts down when i play games only after a few minutes as well, i have problems with board since day one i have the early vers board i see they have a newer vers (2) does this mean the first version is prone to problems ? when i use it for easy stuff like browsing online etc it's fine but when it gets pressure (3d apps / games etc) it just shuts down i have an A7M 266 comp as well both were assembled by me but the A7V333 has caused me a lot of greif whearas the A7M266 works like a dream no probs whatsoever ! should i just throw it in the bin and get another board (not asus) my PSU is Antec 400W so no probs with power ! also i am using the ASUS V8440 card which also has a thread devoted to it regarding problems ! so it seems i have TWO dodgy ASUS components i may as well give up cause i am not very techy minded whats goin on i bought ASUS cause of the reputation and now it seems i have a case full of ASUS components which are faulty or worse don't work Last edited by robroy; 03-16-2003 at 12:55 PM.. |
